Gridiron Gals – Women’s Event

Take the afternoon off, grab your best girlfriends, and plan on having a great time with an afternoon full of football. Be ready to get down and dirty with CFL football coaches and players as they run you through football strategy and drills. Once you have completed your on-turf activities, plan on being pampered, pick up some merchandise at the team store, and enter to win a number of fabulous prizes. This event will feature a live DJ, trivia, cheer team and mascot appearances and it's very own tailgate section. The goal is for you ladies to have a fun filled afternoon while sharpening your football knowledge for the big game on Sunday.

Business Before 9 feat. Alex Benay, Chief Information Officer of the Government of Canada

This breakfast series, held nine times annually is an opportunity for business leaders to break from their hectic schedules for networking and to catch up on the latest information in the Ottawa business community.

This breakfast features a prominent business leader as a guest speaker, welcomes new members and recognizes members who have achieved recent success and/or milestones in their businesses.

Alex Benay, Chief Information Officer of the Government of Canada

Prior to this appointment, Alex was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation since July 2014.

From 2011 to 2014, he was Vice-President of Government Affairs and Business Development at OpenText. He has played a leadership role in Canada’s digital industry, as well as in promoting the global shift to digital in organizations such as the G20, the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Olympics. Before joining OpenText, Alex managed various teams and programs at the Canadian International Development Agency, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Natural Resources Canada, and Library and Archives Canada.

International Cryptographic Module Conference (ICMC18)

The International Cryptographic Module Conference is the leading annual event for global expertise in commercial cryptography. At the sixth annual edition of the conference in May 8-11 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, over 400 industry leaders from over 22 countries will convene to address the unique challenges faced by those who develop, produce, test, specify, and use cryptographic modules, with a strong focus on standards such as FIPS 140-2, ISO/IEC 19790, and Common Criteria. The conference helps to foster a focused, organized community of users. ICMC reviews technical issues underlying cryptographic implementation including physical security, key management, side-channel analysis, open-source development, algorithm testing, quantum threats, embedded applications, standardization, validation programs, government policy, professional ethics, and more.
