Julia has grown up in the City of Ottawa and has a passion for branding and marketing strategy. A graduate from the University Of Ottawa Telfer School Of Management, Julia brings to the Shaw Centre over 10 years of extensive experience in marketing, communications, special events and sponsorship strategies. Julia gained widespread experience in client services, consulting and project management throughout her years with leading Ottawa-based advertising agency Acart Communications Inc. working with clients in a variety of industries. Julia recently served as the Manager, Brand Marketing with the Canadian Paralympic Committee where she led the organization’s branding, promotions, advertising and marketing initiatives while managing their in-house Special Events team. Julia brings to the Shaw Centre a unique perspective as a marketing strategist who also has extensive event planning and production experience having played key roles on-site with organizing committee of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games and with Team Canada at the Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games, London 2012 Paralympic Games and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Her knowledge and experience within the international meeting, convention and service sector landscape will surely play a vital role in maximizing the digital and social presence as well as growing sponsorship and partnership objectives for the Shaw Centre.
Julia enjoys all things active and outdoors, while spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends. She is passionate about volunteer work and championing the development of Ottawa’s health, sport and tourism community and is confident that her experience and enthusiasm will allow her to further develop the Shaw Centre brand story.
